Concrètement, vous êtes étudiant, salarié, retraité ou demandeur d’emploi ? Vous allez pouvoir vendre vos propres créations (et/ou des marchandises) :
- une simple déclaration au centre de formalité des entreprises va suffire, l’auto-entrepreneur est dispensé de l’immatriculation au Registre des commerces et sociétés ou Chambre des métiers (pour les artisans) (et des frais inhérents)
- vous serez de fait affilié à la sécurité sociale et vous validerez des trimestres de retraite
- vous serez dispensé de TVA (pas de formalité, pas de reversement de

- vous pourrez cesser votre activité à tout moment et facilement.
- Vous conserverez ce statut d’auto-entrepreneur dés lors que votre chiffre d’affaire reste inférieur à 80 000 euros par an (soit environ 218 € de commandes chaque jour).
Le prélèvement libératoire de l’impôt sur le revenu est une option de ce statut et il est soumis à une condition : les revenus du foyer fiscal de l’avant dernière année doivent être inférieurs à la limite de la troisième tranche du barème soit 25 095 euros pour 2008 (à majorer de 50% par demi-part supplémentaire).
Si vous ne remplissez pas cette condition, vous serez imposable, comme toute micro-entreprise(CA ne dépasse pas 80 000 euros), selon le barème progressif de l’impôt sur le revenu basé sur le chiffre d'affaire auquel est soustrait (au titre des frais) un abattement de 71%. Le taux d’imposition dépend alors du total des revenus de votre foyer et du nombre de part. On voit comme il est plus simple de calculer un prix de revient en appliquant simplement 1% au titre des impôts !
